Burgundy Bustier - PPZBurgundy Hipsters - PPZ
shirt & jeans - Zara
If it's burgundy and lacy, I'm usually sold. Especially if it's underwear. So naturally, when PPZ asked me to pick out a set for myself, I could certainly not refuse.
Undergarments are usually the last thing I would choose to spend a lot on, with my money usually being drawn towards garments more likely to be on show. However, when opening a parcel as pretty as this, my mind is subject to change. Is it just me that feels like matching underwear makes you feel a little bit more powerful? More put together and ready to take on the day? (In my case I need all the help I can get.)
Basically, my rich alter ego who lives in a marble-floored mansion, spends her evenings sipping merlot in a fur-lined negligee, is very happy with this PPZ parcel indeed.

Photos by the lovely Livia Lazar
top - Gearbest
trousers & bag - Primark
coat - H&M
boots - Lightinthebox
Spent a day a couple of weeks ago exploring Manchester with a wonderful photographer and these are a few of my favourite shots. Looking to expand the fashion side of her portfolio, Livia treated me to a day of coffee shops and museums whilst snapping the occasional photo of my limited modelling skills.
(Also got some very professional ootds which is always nice!)
Hoping everyone is well - cannot believe it's October!? I am currently in a state of denial whilst carving a pumpkin and painting Bette Midler onto my nails.

Despite trying to inject a healthy dose of colour into my closet, my heart firmly belongs to monochrome. As this Gearbest haul clearly illustrates. It's rare where I'm really impressed with all items from an online order, but this is certainly one of those occasions.
Throwing it back to the 90s amidst Friends reruns and pokemon, I couldn't resist dipping into the cami dress trend myself. I've seen these literally everywhere and was not shocked in how easy it was to style, over a plain T or under some distressed denim. It's also super silky and comes with a handy choker so I literally have no excuse when that spice girls reunion tour comes around.
Already owning the black version of this, I could not resist the white version too. It's perfect texture and material provides that bit more insulation than a standard T shirt and is the ideal transitional piece under a leather jacket or simple trench. Needless to say it's quickly becoming a staple.
Feeling somewhat like a pirate in this cropped stripy number, but an on trend one at that. It has delicate tie detailing which you can style however you wish; I have actually been very impressed with how easy it's been to style as this isn't something I'd usually go for. If you're a fan of stripes and crops like myself however, this piece is certain to tick all of the boxes.
Which is your favourite item?

T shirt - Sammydress
jeans - Zara
shirt - vintage
shoes - Lightinthebox
I've been stalking a lot of instagram accounts recently (here and here) and have become rather fond of incorporating twists of colour into my (as you are very aware) minimal wardrobe. Retaining crisp lines and geometric shapes but with a brightly coloured collar or stripe.
This t shirt fits into this particular aesthetic ideally. The splash of yellow to the velvet underground design is pop art perfection and pairs so nicely with my fave blue jeans or under a chunky leather jacket. Also, this top is literally the softest t shirt I've worn in my life. For real.
Where do you get your inspiration?

Potentially two of the prettiest items I've ever been kindly gifted. In this instance, from Zaful. This dress really is one of those dresses you want to flounce around fields of sunflowers in. Sipping something cool on a picnic blanket in the amber light of evening whilst sharing laughter and endless conversations. (Does anyone else have terribly in depth aspirations where clothing is concerned?) Anyway, I own nothing else like it, and it's perfect.
The underwear I don't even think I need to elaborate on. I don't even want to wear it, just to admire it from a far it's oh so very beautiful. Pair with silk negligee, a glass of red wine and a stormy evening for ultimate effect.
Which is your favourite piece?
P.s. I was lucky enough to be featured in the wonderful Majestigal webmag: check it out here..
